I could list on and on about why you should have professional

photos for your business content. Being a small business owner myself,

I want to see other small businesses thriving and I know how difficult it

can be. Let’s highlight some of the most important reasons to have

professional photos.

Creativity: “The use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.” Photography is an outlet for me to be creative. Business branding is a way I can be the most creative with my photography. Certain products and brands need to be showcased in different ways to make them stand out. For an example, a jewelry company was gearing up for a Valentine’s Day product drop, so we used our resources and gathered supplies to incorporate Valentine’s Day with products they were creating and selling. The best way to get more creative with product photos is planning ahead and making sure the business communicates what they imagine and want the end result to be.

Quality: “The degree of excellence of something.’” Word of mouth

is the best way to get more clients, but so is social media. Usually when

we hear of a business we instantly Google search or find them on a

social media platform. You can always tell after the first few posts if

they are a business you can connect, vibe, or relate to. You can also tell

right away if they are a higher quality business. Personally, I tend to

shop at boutiques that have hired a photographer with models or post

themselves wearing their products over ones that take flat lay images

from their wholesaler for their posts. This is because I like to see how

something looks on someone to get an idea of how it would look on

me. Having quality images requires a professional photographer.

Phones cameras have improved over the years, but they do not get the

sharp, high quality images like a professional camera. Some sites, such

as Etsy, actually prefer higher quality and will give those businesses

more highlights. Higher quality images look better on websites, social

media platforms, Etsy, etc. and grab the attention of people scrolling

quickly.

One of the favorite things about business branding content is

capturing behind the scenes. This can be fun headshots or employees

performing or making a product. Consumers like to see what it takes to

make something and the friendly faces doing so. These kinds of images

are also where I like to get really creative and get detail images. For an

example; if you own a company that makes a product we can capture

the behind the scenes of you actually making that product. I do want

owners and employees to be in the images to help make their accounts

more personable, but I know that sometimes it is hard to juggle many

tasks at once. Or if you are a business that lives out of town. That is

where hiring a photographer also makes life much easier. I have found

amazing models in my area or I, myself, with the help of my boyfriend

can model products as well. So, let me help you take a little stress away

and we will get the images for you.
